PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -
Plattsburgh Police are investigating a brutal attack that happened over the weekend. Two men were attacked early Sunday morning by a man with a knife. It happened on Margaret Street near the intersection of Brinkerhoff.
Police say a 26-year-old man been injured and his shirt, covered in blood. They also found a 37-year-old man who had also been involved in the same attack and been stabbed three times. Both were sent to the hospital. One was treated and released, the other, remains hospitalized in intensive care. Police say they believe the stabbing was related to a previous incident.
"We believe there is some information that this was related to an earlier incident a week ago where this started and this was some type of retaliation, possibly stemming from that incident," said Plattsburgh Police Sgt.. Kenneth Parkinson.
Police do not have any one in custody relating to the stabbing. If anyone has information, you're asked to call the Plattsburgh Police Department.
