NEWPORT CENTER, Vt. -
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a Newport Center, Vt. home that caught fire Saturday.
According to a press release, firefighters from North Troy, Troy, Jay, Newport and Irasburg were able to save a nearby garage.
No one was injured and the building sustained $200,000.00 in damage.
Officials do not believe the fire is suspicious. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Nally (802)-229-9191 or Vermont Arson Tip Award Program (VATAP) at 1-800-32-ARSON.
