Fox 44 and ABC 22 are looking for a director
who knows how to execute a compelling, fast-paced newscast. The station puts a
big emphasis on making our programs easy for a viewer to understand.
We
produce 6.5 hours of high definition news a day during the week, and 1.5 hours each
day on the weekend.
The
ideal candidate must have leadership skills and know how to perform calmly in
high-pressure situations. The person also must have the ability to direct live
newscasts while simultaneously operating switcher, video from a server-based
play out, still store and digital effects.
Familiarity
with Grass Valley Digital News Production systems is strongly preferred.
In
addition to directing, the candidate will also edit national video for the
newscast, and shoot on Panasonic HD P2 cameras three days a week.
