Randolph, VT High School Student Admits to Setting Bathroom Fires

A Randolph Union High School student faces criminal charges after admitting to setting a bathroom on fire Monday afternoon.

Police say, the student lit a fire in the boy's bathroom and watched it burn. The student exited the bathroom and then minutes later the same student came back to the bathroom and lit another fire. The second fire spread faster. After the second fire, the student left and alerted staff there was a fire in the boy's bathroom.

No one was injured during the fires.

The student is being charged with arson. Both fires caused about $1,000 in damage.
