BOLTON VALLEY, Vt. -
Lost hikers on the Bolton Valley Mountain near the Long Trail were found safe Sunday.
According to a press release, Nirva Mehta, 40, and Audrey Winograd, 55, both of Bolton, Vt., called Vermont State Police around 5 p.m. telling them they were lost for two hours.
Vermont State Police where able to get a general idea of where the hikers based on the emergency 911 call.
State Police activated their emergency sirens and air horns, the press release said, to assist in directing the hikers toward the sound and to get Mill Brook river and eventually out of the woods.
Mehta and Winograd are experienced hikers and were hiking with two dogs.
