Winooski police say the death of a man who fell from an Interstate 89 bridge in the Vermont city was an accident.
Forty-one-year-old David Covalinski Jr., a transient, died from injuries suffered in the 70-foot fall on March 23.
Winooski Police Chief Steve McQueen says that after interviewing people who had been with the victim prior to his fall and the results of the autopsy police concluded the fall was an accident.
McQueen tells the Burlington Free Press that as part of the investigation, police spoke with many people who had contact with Covalinski leading up to his death and in the hours following.
