A female cyclist who was riding her bike on Patchen Road was bitten by a dog at approximately 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
South Burlington Police say the dog was described as a yellow pit bull looking animal.
The dog's owner was described as a tall female in her late 20's to early 30's. She was wearing a red windbreaker and tan pants.
Police are trying to identify the dog's owner and the dog's vaccination status.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the South Burlington Police Department at (802)-846-4111.
