New Hampshire Woman Traveling At Excessive Speeds Through Chester VT

CHESTER, Vt. -

A New Hampshire Woman was traveling at excessive speeds through Chester, Vt.

According to Vermont State Police, Corinne Alper, 21, of Atkinson, N.H., was traveling at a speed of 95 mph on Vermont Route 103. The speed limit was 40 mph.

At one point, police say, they clocked the driver going 98 mph.

When police tried to pull the vehicle over, Alper continued driving and passing numerous vehicles until it was stopped at the junction of Vermont Route 103 and Vermont Route 11 west.

Alper was taken into custody without incident. She will appear in Windsor Superior Court at the end of May to answer to the charges of negligent operation (excessive speed) and attempting to elude police.
