Home prices could bottom out by next year.
According to online realtor, Zillow, which provides housing data, says home values made their largest monthly jump in March since 2006.
Prices were down 3.1% from the previous year. The average value of a single family home is now $146,200.
The website says low home values paired with extraordinarily low mortgage rates, should serve as a signal to consumers that now is a good time to buy.
