ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. -
Tuesday, there were 8 IBM pickets around the country and in Vermont, people stood in unison to show their discontent with the corporation.
Earl Mongeon is going on his 34th year at IBM and says he's fed up with the corporation, "With the people not getting pay raises, over half the people at this site right here don't get pay raises."
It's not just pay raises, workers here say it's outsourcing, job cuts and lack of full disclosure of where the jobs are going. Mongeon says he even took a 7% pay cut in 2009, "That put me back 10 years in pay and inflation didn't stop."
Members of the Vermont Workers Center joined IBM workers, they say in past years there have been record profits for corporations but little help for workers.
"Workers rights and workers rights to organize and pay for benefits for workers have been remaining idle," said Matt McGrath.
Mongeon says he's tired of the corporate greed, "IBM is making profit, billions and billions of profit but they are just not sharing it with us."
