Yikes! What a site to see in western NY and northwest PA today. A band of snow has given parts of West Virginia to Pennsylvania, to New York several inches of wet, heavy snow.

There are several towns reporting 6" or more of fresh snow! Can you believe 18" of fresh snow on Laurel Summit in Somserset county Pennsylvania???

The trees were drooping as the heavy snow fell on the tree limbs which have already grown leaves. The weight of the snow isn't good for leafed out trees. The weight can cause limbs to break and can lead to power outages.
