Forgive the brief blog, but I wanted to make sure that you all could see this!
I know everything is bigger in Texas, but this is just ridiculous. Severe and slow moving storm over Texas yesterday put down torrential rain and, more miraculously, 4 feet of hail! Well, kind of. So much hail came down with these storms that the runoff from the rain pushed it around, causing 4-5 foot "hail drifts".
The photos are pretty nasty. The mud and dirty, dusty land in Texas makes the piles of hail look more like piles of dirt. But nope! It's small balls of ice, most pea-sized, but some up to the size of ping pong balls!
