US Sen. Patrick Leahy to Hold Listening Session on Farm Bill

ST. ALBANS, Vt. -

U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy will be hosting a listening session focused on sections of the 2012 Farm bill regarding the dairy industry.

According to a press release, the session will be held at the American Legion Hall in St. Albans, Vt. at 1:30 p.m.

Leahy will give an update on the Farm Bill and ask dairy farmers' input on the bill. The press release states that Leahy will use the information at the listening session to shape the next farm bill.

The Farm Bill governs all federal involvement in agriculture as well as environmental conservation, rural development and nutrition programs.

Directions: American Legion Hall, 100 Parah Drive, St. Albans, VT.   I-89 to Exit 20 (St. Albans); Route 207 west then at "T" turn left onto Rt. 7 South;  less than 1 mile (past shopping plaza) then left turn onto Franklin Drive; immediate left onto Parah Drive.
