Burlington Vermont Man is Charged with Possession of Child Pornography

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

A Burlington Vermont man is charged with possession of child pornography.

According to Vermont's Attorney General, the charges resulted when Glenn M. Canaday, of Burlington, Vermont, obtained child pornography over the Internet using peer-to-peer file sharing programs.

Canaday is being charged with one felony count and one misdemeanor count of Possession of Child Pornography.

The Attorney General said, the felony count carries a possible prison term of up to 5 years, a fine of $10,000, or both. The misdemeanor count carries a possible prison term of up to 2 years, a fine of up to $5,000, or both.

Canaday was released after his arraignment with conditions restricting his contact with minors and access to devices able to connect to the Internet.
