What was the most challenging story you've ever done?
The most challenging and exciting is election day. No matter how well you plan, elections almost always surprise you. For the 2010 Democratic Gubernatorial race I was with Doug Racine on Primary Night. Out of 72,000 votes, Racine lost to Peter Shumlin by just a couple hundred votes. Fair to say it was a very late night.
Who is your favorite national correspondent?
Any great storyteller such as Bob Dotson at NBC or Boyd Huppert at a local station in Minneapolis.
What are your favorite hobbies?
Definitely being outdoors: hiking, biking and skiing.
What is your favorite food?
Anything local especially cheese.
